Nancy M. Geise, Esq. has been practicing law since 2007 and is currently licensed to practice in the State of Vermont and in U.S. District Court, District of Vermont.
Nancy spent many years as a paralegal, primarily in the areas of personal injury, bankruptcy and real estate transactions, before entering the Four Year Law Office Study Program in preparation for the bar exam. She now concentrates her practice mostly on representing debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, and also handles the firm’s creditor representation in the bankruptcy court. Nancy frequently represents low income clients through referrals from Law Line of Vermont and Vermont Legal Aid.
Nancy’s undergraduate and graduate education was in foreign languages, primarily German, Russian and Scandinavian languages, and she spent her junior year studying in Freiburg, Germany. She loves to travel and recently returned to familiar places in Germany and Iceland, as well as trips to Italy, Israel and Palestine. She is a member of a small women’s guitar and vocal group that performs at venues around Northwestern Vermont. She also enjoys downhill and Nordic skiing, paddle boarding and boating on Lake Champlain.
Nancy lives in Underhill with her husband, Peter.
